Help Alice get to nationals!
Donation protected
My name is Alice Devlin, and I’m a freshman from Berwick, Maine. I am writing to ask for help with a huge educational opportunity I have received!
I am in the car right now on my way home from the University of Maine. This afternoon I took second place at the National History Day (NHD) State Competition, which means I am qualified to compete at the national level contest in June.
Unfortunately I have to register for the event May 7th, which means I only have four days to raise the money needed to attend.
NHD is an academic program where students create projects based on a historical theme. This year’s theme is Rights and Responsibilities, and my project was a documentary about a journalist named Nellie Bly who had a major impact on the reform of the mental health industry. Qualifying for Nationals is a big achievement, but the trip will cost approximately $2700.
I’m seeking sponsors to help cover transportation, accommodation, and fees. Your sponsorship would support academic excellence and community involvement.
If you are willing to contribute any amount, I would be so grateful!
