Hi! This is Alice. Alice is 14 years young and has found herself in a bit of a pickle. When she was a baby, she survived panleukopenia. This wreaked havoc on her digestive system and subsequently, her teeth, as she routinely regurgitates her food. This has led to her losing most of her teeth. We were hoping to save a few teeth, but sadly it looks like she’s going to need some extractions. She has developed a painful ulcer in her mouth which is being treated with antibiotics and pain medicine for the time being. This will work as a temporary fix, but the long-term solution is to get dental surgery. She needs to have at least that tooth extracted, and potentially others. This surgery was quoted as $2000 on the low end and $2700 on the high end. I have included the vet estimate (which does not include $360 worth of pre-op bloodwork she needs to ensure she can tolerate anesthesia.) Any help you’re able to offer is appreciated as Alice is a beloved member of family, but we find ourselves, as many others do, on a fixed budget.
We thank you for your support!!
