Help Alice fight her brain tumour

Alice Norton Bell is a loving and supportive mother, daughter, sister, caring friend, and has also been living with a brain tumour since 2011.

 

When she was just 19 years old she lost vision in one eye and after many worried doctors appointments she got the news that it was a brain tumour and she was rushed to surgery just days later. After one partially successful brain surgery, several rounds of radiation and a painful and lengthy recovery, Alice has been living partially blind. Throughout it all, she has remained one of the bravest and most positive people that we know.

 

Alice has dreamed of being a mother since she was a child herself. Since her brain surgery, she has welcomed the sweetest baby girl into this world, whom she loves fiercely. Motherhood has been one of the greatest joys in her life.

 

After ten years of living with this tumour, unfortunately, it has grown and she’s been given the news that she needs a second brain surgery. She will also have to undergo radiation, which doctors have told her will render her legally blind at best, completely blind at worst within the year. She will not be able to work, or care for her daughter during this time. She will need to learn as an adult how to function with no vision and take care of her 2 year old daughter while simultaneously recovering from an extremely painful and dangerous surgery.

 

Over the next 6-8 months, Alice will be unable to work and will need financial support. Your donations will make sure that Alice can keep up on rent for her apartment, medical bills, and day-to-day expenses.

 

Anyone who knows Alice knows that she would rather be giving than receiving help. Never one to bother or ask for anything, but rather putting others first.
