I am fundraising for my friend Alia Ameen who is trapped in Gaza with her family!

Here is a brief message coming from Alia herself:

“My name is Alia Ameen from Gaza. I'm 35 years old. I write this after much thought and hesitation. But the urgency and necessity of saving my family outweighs my resilience, and I am fundraising to help me live a dignified life after losing everything. I am striving for your generous support to evacuate my family and 5 children from Gaza. We are now homeless like many others due to the ongoing bombing of Gaza since October 7th. I have been displaced 8 times, and I lost my job, my home, and my husband, which were my primary source of income. Now I am without work and income.”

I am helping Alia raise enough money to evacuate as soon as the borders re-open, as well as to help her afford necessities . All basic goods and necessities have drastically increased in price leaving many families such as Alia’s, the inability to afford what they need to survive. It has been increasingly hard to have access to fresh water and food, due to the blockade of aid allowed into Gaza at the beginning of March this year.
