A few days ago my dog, Ali, started showing signs that something was very wrong with him. He became very lethargic and was clearly not himself. After being discharged from ER I was told he likely had a herniated disc in his back. The doctor said with some painkillers and rest he should get better. Unfortunately this was not the case. A day later his back legs became completely paralyzed. By some miracle, we were able to find a specialist with a last second opening. The doctor informed me that if Ali did not go into surgery immediately, the damage could become irreversible and he would be paralyzed forever. I was crushed by this news. I couldn't imagine seeing him this way. My heart was broken. I cried for hours. Ali is only 4 years old, so I made the decision, no matter how much it would cost me, that he deserves a fighting chance. This surgery was over $12k. I am usually not one to ask for help.. but in this case.. I really need to. I'm asking that you please donate to the surgery he needed and the physical therapy that he will need, so he can once again be the energetic, sweet, loving doggo that he is.
