Ali is my 1-year-old Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix, and we adopted him just a month and a half ago. He’s incredibly friendly, bubbly, and full of energy—traits that make him such a joy to have around. Ali was originally found as a stray, and because of his high energy, he was once returned to the shelter by a previous adoptive family. He has some separation anxiety from his past, but despite everything, he’s always so full of life and love.

Recently, while playing in the backyard, Ali got a little too excited and accidentally fell over the railing of our back porch. He landed in the driveway, snapping both the radius and ulna of his front left leg. It was a terrifying moment, and I rushed him to the ER and then to an orthopedic surgeon. The medical team did everything they could to help, but the costs quickly added up. Between the emergency surgery, medications, x-rays, and follow-up visits, I have spent and still owe a significant amount. As a full-time employee and student, I’ve had to rely on credit cards and loans to cover these expenses, and it’s been a real struggle to keep up.

The funds raised here will go directly toward paying off Ali’s surgery, covering his upcoming medications and vet visits, and making sure he gets the repeat x-rays he’ll need in about eight weeks.
