Monday night (10/7/2024) I was awakened by a phone call from my mom in tears that my brother, Ali Espinoza, had been in a terrible motorcycle accident and was being helicoptered to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto. The news was heartbreaking, and our entire family has been shaken by it. Ali never made it back from the store and was hit at 45mph. He suffered a brain bleed, a crack and air in the skull, multiple complex broken bones all over his body, face and leg. He has had an extensive 7 hour leg surgery and has to have a few more.
The doctors said it’s a miracle he’s still with us—it could have been much worse. We are incredibly thankful he is alive, but he is now facing a long and difficult recovery. As a single dad living alone, he has many responsibilities, and this accident has turned his life upside down. He will be out of work for months, needing care around the clock, physical therapy while still needing to pay daily living expenses. As a family, we’re doing everything we can to support him and ease the burdens. We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help cover daily living expenses, groceries, medical expenses, and anything else he needs during this extremely challenging time.
My brother is such a good person and loved by so many. If you are able, any contribution—no matter how small—would mean the world to us and help ease the burden on my brother as he focuses on healing.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, support and the kindness of this community. With our help, we know he’ll get through this.
With gratitude,
his little sister ❤️
