Ali and his family are trapped in southern Lebanon. He and his family lost everything when their home was destroyed on October 7th, 2024. They have been displaced ever since.
Now with the war returning to south Lebanon, with the Israeli Army beginning their ground invasion, and with evacuation orders for the entire south, Ali and his family need to flee North immediately. They need your help to do so.
All the funds will go directly to transportation costs, as well as shelter, food and medicine for at least 3 months. They will have to head towards Beirut and find a safe place to settle. Once there they will be able to make more contact with other displaced families and organizations that exist to support displaced people during this war. This is part of their medium to long term strategy.
With Love and Solidarity.
Message from Ali:
Life can change in a single moment. Because of the war, my family and I lost our home — the place where we built memories, felt safe, and planned our future. What once gave us comfort is now gone, and once again, we are trying to find a safe place to live.
This is not easy for me to write. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But today, I’m choosing hope over pride. I’m choosing to believe that kindness still exists in this world.
Your support — no matter how small — will help us secure safe shelter and basic necessities. If you are unable to donate, sharing this message would mean just as much.
Thank you for standing with us during this painful time. Your compassion reminds us that we are not alone.
Note: My name is Elise Hagan, and I have been a friend of Ali's since living in the same street as him in Lebanon back in 2019. I am currently living in France. As Ali cannot connect a GoFundMe page to a Middle Eastern bank account, he has asked me to create this page, receive the money on my French bank account, and send it to him. Please message me if you need additional details.
