thank you to everyone who has donated, the caps were delivered a couple of weeks ago. The additional funds raised above our goal will go towards concussion and head injury prevention for the Alhambra High School athletic department.

New Update:

We can not believe how this community has stepped up for our boys. We doubled our original ask and have deliver Guardian Caps to the boys. When we were discussing what to do with the remaining funds, it was clear that upgrading the programs helmets is the ultimate safety measure we can take to protect our boys futures.

After lengthy negotiations with multiple helmet manufacturers we are able to source seventy-five 5 star safety rated helmets for an amazing rate. Now we just need to raise the funds. We are over 1/3 of the way there!

I m confident we can get this done for the boys. Thank you again to the 80+ donors that have contributed so far. Your generosity and caring has gone far to protect our football players.

Update:

We are overwhelmed with the communities support for this initiative. Due to your generosity, we have ordered the Guardian caps for Alhambra’s football program. As donations continued to come in past our goal, we thought what else can we do? After speaking with the training staff we have decided to dedicate the additional donation to buying some new helmets and supporting the concussion protocol program at Alhambra.

Helmets are really expensive, but we will get as many as possible with the funds that are raised. By adding new helmets with advanced protection technology will have a positive safety impact for years to come.

For high school programs like Alhambra's operating on tight budgets, this kind of safety upgrade is often out of reach without community support.

Guardian Caps have been adopted by college and professional teams across the country, and bringing this level of protection to high school players is a powerful statement of care and commitment. Every dollar donated goes toward equipping the team with this essential gear, ensuring that players can train and compete with greater confidence and reduced risk.

I started this because my son and his friends are Bulldogs. All funds raised will go towards the purchasing of guardian caps. Any additional monies raised above the cost of the caps will be donated to the football program to be used for additional safety equipment and training.
