Alfredo Had a Stroke - Help Him Recover

Hi good people!

My name is Christina Funck and I am a good friend of Alfredo Abraham Kuri. Alfredo helped me on my healing journey, so I’m starting this fundraiser to help him get the support he needs to cover his medical bills for treament for a bad stroke he had in Puerto Vallarta, MX on 3/17/2023.

Alfredo made it back home to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on 3/14/23 after working hard in rough conditions in California for 4 months. During his time in California, he had a mini stroke which paralyzed the left side of his face. He recieved medical care in CA, and has been slowly recovering over the last month. Unfortunately, the cost of this treatment used up all of the funds he had worked tirelessly for during his time in California. He was left to go home emptyhanded after all of the work he did to bring money home to his family.

When he arrived back home to Mexico, he suffered a series of 9 mini strokes overnight, followed by a major stroke. He is extremely lucky to have survived.

Alfredo was then taken to the hospital by his girlfriend, Gianina. His brain seems to be functioning ok as he can still crack a joke, but his speech is slowed and slurred and he cannot move the left side of his body. The doctors have to do a lot of tests to find the extent of the damage and identify a path for his recovery.

Alfredo's healthcare in Mexico is starting to refuse to cover the exended hospital stay necessary to run tests and monitor his conditions. The tests he has to take are costly, and some are also invasive and risky. Him and his family currently do not have the means to pay for the treatment he needs to overcome this.

Although this is a very scary situation, Alfredo is staying strong and positive as always. It's people like Alfredo who remind us all that everyday alive is a gift - and life without giving isn't really living. If you've met Alfredo, you know how freely he gives help and love to anyone who needs it - no matter how he is feeling.

Please help Alfredo recover so he can keep being an example for how to love and persevere. If you have the means, any donation big or small, will help Alfredo's treatment and recovery. Mi nombre es Christina Funck y soy una buena amiga de Alfredo Abraham Kuri. Alfredo me ayudó en mi proceso de sanación, por lo que estoy

comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para ayudarlo a obtener el apoyo que necesita para cubrir sus facturas médicas por el tratamiento de un derrame cerebral grave que tuvo en Puerto Vallarta, MX el 17/03/2023.

Alfredo regresó a su hogar en Puerto Vallarta, México, el 14/03/23 después de trabajar duro en condiciones difíciles en California durante 4 meses. Durante su tiempo en California, sufrió un mini derrame cerebral que paralizó el lado izquierdo de su rostro. Recibió atención médica en CA y ha estado recuperándose lentamente durante el último mes. Desafortunadamente, el costo de este tratamiento consumió todos los fondos por los que trabajó incansablemente durante su tiempo en California. Se quedó sin nada después de todo el trabajo que hizo para llevar dinero a casa para su familia.

Cuando llegó de regreso a México, sufrió una serie de 9 mini derrames cerebrales durante la noche, seguidos de un derrame cerebral importante. Es extremadamente afortunado de haber sobrevivido.

Su novia, Gianina, lo llevó al hospital. Su cerebro parece estar funcionando bien ya que aún puede hacer una broma, pero su habla es lenta y arrastrada y no puede mover el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo. Los médicos tienen que hacer muchas pruebas para determinar la extensión del daño e identificar un camino para su recuperación.

La atención médica de Alfredo en México comienza a negarse a cubrir la estadía prolongada en el hospital necesaria para realizar pruebas y monitorear sus condiciones. Las pruebas que debe realizar son costosas, y algunas también son invasivas y riesgosas.  Él y su familia actualmente no tienen los medios para pagar el tratamiento que necesita para superar esto.

Aunque esta es una situación muy aterradora, Alfredo se mantiene fuerte y positivo como siempre. Es gente como Alfredo quien nos recuerda que cada día vivo es un regalo, y que la vida sin dar no es realmente vivir. Si has conocido a Alfredo, sabes cómo él da ayuda y amor libremente a cualquiera que lo necesite, sin importar cómo se sienta.

Por favor, ayúdenos a Alfredo a recuperarse para que pueda seguir siendo un ejemplo de cómo amar y perseverar. Si tienes los medios, cualquier donación, grande o pequeña, ayudará al tratamiento y recuperación de Alfredo.
