Lucinda is raising this fundraiser for Alfredo Mendez, a friend, a hardworking father, and the primary caregiver to his daughter. Alfredo has lived and worked in this community for over 20 years, and last week he was picked up by ICE. Since then, the people who know and care about him have been trying to do everything they can to support him and his family during an incredibly painful and uncertain time. Right now, Alfredo needs urgent help covering his legal fees so he can fight for the chance to return home to his daughter and the people who love him.

The funds from this fundraiser will go first toward Alfredo’s legal expenses. Any additional support will go directly to Alfredo so that, if he is deported, he will have money to get to a safe place from wherever he is released. Alfredo is a man of faith, and everyone who knows him can only hope that faith is sustaining him through these difficult days. He has helped so many people over the years, and now it is time for the community to come together for him. Please give if you can, and if you are unable to donate, please share Alfredo’s story and keep him and his daughter in your thoughts.
