Help Alfredo fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Please help Alfredo and my family in his fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia!

Just before Spring Break, my brother, Alfredo, was just like any other typical teenager who enjoyed talking and hanging out with his friends. Now Alfredo is fighting for his life.

Monday, March 17th, was like any other day. Alfredo was with our grandparents, who have raised Alfredo, myself and our sister since we were small children. He complained that he was feeling dizzy and fainted. My grandparents rushed him to the hospital, and after running some blood tests, the doctors determined he had some type of cancer. Bone marrow tests confirmed that Alfredo had late stage Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

As the leukemia weakens his immune system, Alfredo has recently suffered from complications due to a kidney infection and has been on a ventilator for over a week. He will require over 2 years of treatment.

Alfredo’s leukemia diagnosis has brought about unexpected financial challenges for our family. My grandfather, who is our family’s sole financial provider, has been by Alfredo’s bedside the whole time. I have created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burdens we are facing. All donations will go directly into our family’s bank account to help pay for medical costs not covered, and non-medical expenses such as lost wages, living/housing expenses, gas, and supplies needed for treatment at home.
