Meet Alfred
Alfred is just 12 years old, but he has already endured more suffering than most of us can imagine. His father, a soldier, was killed in the civil war in the country directly north of Uganda. During that same violence, rebels set Alfred on fire. He survived — but the burns left deep scars that cause him constant pain and limit his ability to eat, move, and live a normal childhood.
Today, Alfred and his mother are struggling to survive in Palabek Refugee Settlement in Northern Uganda. Despite everything, Alfred still carries hope in his eyes.
Why Alfred Needs Your Help
Alfred’s burns are severe and cannot heal on their own. Doctors have confirmed that he will need 3–4 stages of complex reconstructive plastic surgery to restore movement and ease his pain.
Each surgery costs over $2,000 USD, and the full treatment will require $6,000–$8,000. For a refugee family with no resources, this cost is impossible. But together, we can make it possible.

Our teams have already served thousands in Uganda through free medical and surgical outreach. We are ready to provide Alfred’s surgeries — all we need are the funds to cover hospital costs, surgical supplies, and follow-up care.
