Our family is raising funds to purchase a reliable handicap-accessible van for Alfred, my husband, whose mobility needs have become increasingly difficult to manage. The van we currently rely on has had major problems, but now the ramp is no longer working, making transportation unsafe and physically demanding for both Alfred and me. This has left Alfred stranded many times, making essential trips—like medical appointments, therapy visits, and community outings—stressful and sometimes impossible.
Alfred is deeply committed to his community. Each week, he travels to Centre College, where he faithfully leads a Bible study for young men. This role means so much to him and to those he mentors, and it’s a source of hope and encouragement for many. However, without a safe and reliable way to get around, Alfred’s ability to serve and connect with others is at risk.
A new wheelchair-accessible van would restore safety, independence, and freedom, allowing Alfred to continue serving his community and pursuing the Bible studies that are so important to him and others. Any support, whether through donations or sharing this campaign, brings us closer to this life-changing goal, and we are truly grateful for your kindness and generosity.
