Alfie was found in the street and was insistent on being someone’s cat. He was very thirsty and hungry, thin, and covered in fleas. Alfie is the sweetest boy who loves to snuggle and eat. The shelters are overcrowded right now and their emergency funds are getting low. So I took him in.
Alfie tested a faint positive for FIV on 7/25/25. While I am paying out of pocket for his routine vaccines/microchipping/flea and dewormer treatment, I need a little help with some other things for him.
Alfie needs a confirmation test for his FIV ($200), a biopsy and histopathology for a bump in his mouth to rule out oral cancer ($289), and a neuter ($200 including pre-op bloodwork). I am getting him neutered at my vet in order to get the biopsy done while he’s already under anesthesia.
I appreciate any help anyone can provide. If I raise more than I need, it will go to other animals in need.
