Help Alexus Brown Rebuild Photography Business After Theft

Hi, my name is Alexus Brown. I'm a photographer (@alexusbphoto) located in Greensboro, North Carolina. I graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in the Fall of 2022. While there, I worked with hundreds of students, faculty, staff and alumni, for personal photoshoots, graduation shoots, organization shoots, headshots, events, and more. After graduation, I continued to pursue life as a full-time photographer running my own bussiness. I've been blessed enough to capture well over 1,000 faces and feelings during my years as a photographer and have been blessed enough to be chosen as a mentor to other amazing photographers.

On the evening of April 12, 2024, my car was broken into, and my camera bag was stolen along with my camera, lenses, backup cameras, trigger, and receiver set for my lights, and memory cards containing seven clients' graduation images. I am beyond hurt by this, but even more hurt for my clients who spent hundreds between their outfits, hair, makeup, nails, and more to make their day special. This is my full-time career that supports my son and myself. I am utterly heartbroken by this event. While at the peak of one of my busiest seasons as a photographer, this is easily one of the most devastating things that could happen. I had beautiful images and memories and images of my clients captured that I will never be able to see again.

I am initiating this GoFundMe campaign with a clear purpose. The funds raised will be used first to refund those seven clients for their lost time and photos, as I am currently unable to work. Secondly, I aim to purchase a new camera and lens to resume my work as soon as possible. I also plan to re-shoot the graduation photos for the seven affected clients, as they have been particularly impacted by this unfortunate event.
