Help Alex's Road to Recovery

On January 30th, Alex was in a bad car accident. The vehicle hit a patch of black ice and slid across the median and into oncoming traffic. She was ejected from the vehicle. Alex broke her femur, tibia, and fibula. Her tailbone is broken and she has a cracked rib and other serious internal injuries. Upon impact of being ejected from the vehicle, she had severe bruising which swelled up with fluid, air, and infection. Alex has had 12 surgeries so far. 9 of the surgeries to drain, clean, and repair the infection over her lower back and buttocks. More surgeries ahead.

At first, this was “just” a broken ankle and femur. But many more internal injuries have popped up.

Alex is very grateful for the support and generosity of her friends, family, coworkers, and parents of her students.

We felt it was time to request a Go Fund Me to assist with the following: rent/ utilities, insurance premiums, flights for her family, and daily expenses.
