Hi Family and friends , as some
of you may already know Alexis and our family have had to make the move back to New Mexico pretty unexpectedly. It has been one of the hardest decisions we have ever made , but we really did not have a choice . Alexis has had a kidney disease for many years, but after an unexpected emergency room visit a few months back , we were faced with the reality that it has gotten much worse very quickly . We are blessed to have a place to live with Alexis’s parents , and Alexis now has medical coverage , which was the soul purpose of our move. Alexis is doing good but things are progressing Faster then we were expecting. His kidney function has dropped to only 12 % , He has started the process to get on a kidney transplant list , and has decided that starting dialysis as soon as possible is the best option . He has started to feel worse and worse each day and he does not want to wait until it’s an emergency situation to start , because that would mean an extra surgery which we definitely need to avoid if possible. There are a few options for Dialysis , and we are trying to figure out which one will work best for our family and most importantly for Alexis . None of them are easy options, but home Dialysis seems to be what Alexis is leaning towards . This would require ( specially since we have 4 young children ) a dedicated ,sanitary room
for His Dialysis treatment to take place each night . There is a spare bedroom that is currently being used for storage , and I want to be able to fix it up and make it a beautiful safe space for my Sweet Alexis .We will need paint , a new window , flooring Matt’s , shelving for all the necessary medical supplies a very comfy bed with the necessary bedding and pillows ,a nice recliner and an air filter and a couple of other small things we will need to fix up the room . It would mean so much to our family to be able to have this room done and ready to go , that way when surgery and treatment is here , we have everything in order and ready to go for Alexis to be home . We have also been without an income for a few months now and each day is getting more and more stressful , we need help in making sure we will be able to pay our car , insurance and phone payment for the next few months while we are figuring everything out. It’s been really hard not having an income ( and instead of enjoying this short time we have left before our lives are connected to a dialysis machine, we have had a lot of financial stress too , which as everyone knows makes everything we are going through feel even harder to deal with. It would be such a huge relief to not have to stress over not having what we need financially these next couple of months as we navigate through this very new and sensitive phase of life . So if you are in a place to help , it would mean more to us then i can even explain . And just as much as financial help we need prayers , this whole life change and experience of uncertainty has brought up a very real and intense spiritual battle for Alexis and I both that I never could have for seen a year ago. We are going to make it through this , Alexis is literally the strongest, goofiest and most resilient Person I know . But it is going to be an extremely hard road at times to get back to a place of calm and health . We appreciate your time and Love . God is good , and always provides in every aspect of life .
