My Name is Manda Isaac, I am a very close long-time friend of Alison and Ryan Bukarz. Their beloved daughter Alexis is facing an unimaginably difficult road to recovery. On March 12th, she experienced a severe seizure and was later found to be a victim of domestic violence. The injuries she sustained were devastating, including a fractured skull and a significant brain bleed. She was airlifted to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, where she remains in critical condition in a medically induced coma after undergoing emergency brain surgery.

Alexis had just celebrated her 18th birthday. She was set to graduate this year—full of excitement, plans, and possibility. Smart, compassionate, and driven, she carried big dreams for her future. She had recently been hired as a Community Support Worker here in Virden and was so proud and eager to begin her training.
