I’ve been living with Lupus Nephritis for 17 years. The impact of the autoimmune disease caused end-stage renal failure, which I have been living with for 4 years, and my condition has reached a critical stage. My doctors have confirmed that a kidney transplant is not just the best option — it’s my only chance at living a full, healthy life again.

While I’m fortunate to be under the care of an incredible medical team and possibly on track for a transplant, the financial burden is overwhelming. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for the surgery, medications, frequent lab work, travel to and from the transplant center, and time away from work are significant.
