My dear friend and coworker, Alexis, was recently in a head-on car collision. By God’s grace, she walked away with only an injury to her hand and thankfully, she has since recovered. While we’re so grateful she is physically okay, the accident has left her without a car and with overwhelming financial stress.
She just purchased her car last year and has been diligently making her payments ever since. Now her car is totaled, and although the other driver’s insurance is covering part of her loan, it doesn’t come close to making her whole. To make matters worse, the payment has not yet been credited to her account, which means the loan is still showing unpaid and her credit score is taking a hit. This has been a month-long battle. Not only does this leave her with debt on a car she no longer has, but also makes it harder for her to move forward and get another reliable vehicle.
It’s especially difficult because Alexis has been such a wonderful addition to our team and family. She truly loves her new job, and we hate to see her struggle with transportation just as she’s finding her footing and thriving at work.
With winter coming soon and her husband also without a dependable car, transportation is becoming an urgent need. They’re trying to keep life moving but getting to work, running errands, and making appointments without a vehicle is becoming a challenge.
We are raising funds to:
1. Pay off the remaining balance on her totaled car so her credit score isn’t further harmed.
2. Help her work towards purchasing a replacement vehicle so she can get back on the road safely and regain her independence.
Even the smallest donation will help and get her one step closer to stability again. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this campaign so we can reach more people who may be able to help.
We appreciate your kindness and support during this difficult time!
