Hello Everyone!

My name is Timbre. I have known Alexis, aka Lexi, for over a decade. She has been there for me as a friend countless times, as well as for her other friends. She has one of the biggest hearts and warmest souls of anyone I know. Unfortunately, she is falling on desperate times. While going through a career transition and attempting to enter a carpentry apprenticeship, her friend and landlord tragically lost her life. Her being Lexi's landlord, subsequently, Lexi will soon lose her home. The difficulty and trauma of the situation of finding their friend in the condition they were in was very hard, and she has been couch surfing, being unable to return home. Lexi also has two sweet cats that she adores but need some updates to their records before being permitted to another leased home. She has already given up another loved pet to a home that has promised to care for him. Lexi also has some job leads to enter an apprenticeship, but it may be some time before that happens. She is hoping you can help her bear this time till she gets on her feet and is only seeking a modest amount of around $5,000, which is broken down as follows:

We have adjusted the request to account for a generous benefactor and in consideration that times are very tough on everyone. Lexi has a job lined up but delays and bureaucratic processes are slowing things down. If it does go through it is still in the short term and help is still needed to help her through the long run.

Update 9/30

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for your current donations. Lexi appreciates your generosity.

What is most critical is that we get her cats neutered and updated on vaccines. This is crucial for any boarding that will be needed.

Right now she has a promising job prospect for a contract and training that should start in a few weeks but it will be out of town and housing will only be temporary during the job so her cats and belongings can't come with her. Hence storage and pet boarding is needed.

Her housing has given her notice that she needs to vacate at the end of October. So time is of the essence but we can get it all taken care of with your help!

-New Update 9/30. We were able to secure a vet appointment but unfortunately the costs are a little higher than anticipated, nearly 1000 to get two cats checked out, updated, neutered. We are very grateful to Kenwood Pet Clinic in Minneapolis to provide services. I have been going to them for years for my pets. We should be able to meet our time target now to make sure the cats are ready to meet protocols for a lease

Again, Lexi and I appreciate your support. It feels great to be there for my friend in her time of need. I can't even count the times she has been there for me. Her friendship is valued and the love she gives out to the world is wondrous.
