Help Alexis Fight Cancer!

Hi, I'm Nicki and I've started this GoFundMe on behalf of one of my very best friends and one of the most kind, caring, humble, and positive people I know. Alexis Jessup has been through a lot in her life, but has never let her struggles get the better of her. Her newest challenge is stage 2 breast cancer at only 22 years old, diagnosed at the end of her first semester of occupational therapy school at UNC Chapel Hill. A couple of weeks ago, Alexis underwent a double mastectomy and is still recovering from surgery. Despite hopes that she would be able to avoid needing chemotherapy, she will unfortunately need to start chemo shortly. As a result, she will need to fast-track her plan to undergo fertility testing, treatments, egg retrievals, and more to allow her to still fulfill her dream of being a mom one day. She is also hoping to find a way to turn her beautiful natural hair into a wig that she can wear while she undergoes treatment, and she is still paying off her surgery. I would love for her and her amazing parents to not have to worry about these huge costs and be able to focus on Alexis and her healing.
