Help Alexis' Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire

My name is Alexis. Last night my family & I lost almost everything we have due to a house fire. I am soooooo grateful our dogs made it out alive. I can’t believe I am here writing this, asking for help. We recently havent had the best luck with things, totaled car, vet bills, & just things that feel like have been back to back with bad luck. Recently, we just put a lot of work into making our home feel even more like home by re-doing our bedrooms, etc. I have been through a lot & I know everything will be okay, but we are left without a stable roof over our heads right now. With this being something we were not prepared for this, I am asking for help to recoup what we have lost. We are thankful for Red Cross who showed up & made sure my family & our animals had a place to go tonight. I am thankful we are okay & more than anything I am so thankful for Hollywood PD who got our dogs out. I am so thankful that my neighbor’s daughter spoke up & told her dad that she saw “something red”, it happened so fast we had just left the house 10-15 mins before our neighbor called 911.

This took a lot out of me to even make this GoFundMe, but the fire marshal said they do not advise us to take any belongings from the house due to the serve damage/smoke/etc. Which means we need new beds, new furniture, new clothes etc. Basically we need to start all over.

I hate asking for help, I work very hard for my family & I am humbling myself to reach out for this help, but with rent these days it’s insane. More then anything we need assistance with First, Last & Security for a new home because of this devastation.
