Hi, my name is Alexis. I’m 29 years old, a proud single mom of three beautiful children — Zion (8), Nyla (5), and Deandre “Biggie” (3).

On August 26th, our lives changed in an instant. While driving with my kids, we were suddenly hit by a truck. The impact was terrifying — my little ones were screaming in the backseat, and my driver’s door was jammed shut. By the grace of God and a rush of adrenaline, I was able to get them out safely. While we are beyond grateful to be alive, our only car was totaled.

As a single mom, I work hard every day to keep a roof over our heads and give my kids the opportunities they deserve. They’re thriving in school, and my oldest is so excited to start his first soccer league this season. But without a car, we are facing missed school days, missed practices, and the risk of me losing my job — our only source of income.

Insurance only covered the remaining balance of my car loan, leaving me with just $250 and no way to purchase a reliable vehicle. Between rent, childcare, and basic expenses, there is simply no room in the budget.

This is why I’m humbling myself and reaching out for help. I need to raise $6,000–$15,000 for a safe, reliable car so I can continue working, get my kids to school, and keep their dreams alive.

I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but as a wise friend once told me, “it takes a village.” Right now, I’m asking for my village.
