Alexis and Albert, my daughter and son-in-law in TX, have been pouring their hearts into remodeling Albert’s late father’s home, hoping to make it their forever home. Early Friday morning, February 6, 2026, their dreams were shattered when they awoke to find the house engulfed in flames. The fire was a total loss, and as far as we know, there was no insurance coverage.
This tragedy comes at an especially difficult time—Alexis is due to deliver their second child by C-section in just two weeks. They had spent the past year working tirelessly on the house, hoping to bring their new baby home to a place of their own. Instead, they are now left without their forever home, having lost not only sentimental items from Albert’s father but also new furniture, housewares, and all the baby items they had prepared for their growing family. I am so grateful that they were not staying in the house that night, as they sometimes did on weekends while working on it. Their lives were spared, and for that, I am truly thankful.
I am reaching out to ask for any monetary donations to help Alexis and Albert get a rebuild to live and replace the essentials they lost. Your support will help them rebuild and provide a safe, loving home for their two boys. I’m just a momma, in NC, figuring out how I can help from afar. If you are unable to give, please keep them in your prayers. Thank you for your kindness and generosity—God bless you.
