Hi, my name is Alexa and we are the Rivera’s a family of four living in Queens.

My family's home was destroyed in a fire late March.

Our family is facing a difficult challenge after losing our home in this fire. The fire started while in our basement when the dryer fuse blew in the middle of the night. Thankfully everyone was able to get out safely, along with furbabies. Most everything was destroyed both in the fire and while the fire was being put out.

Now, as a single mom, my mom is trying to quickly recover after a sudden displacement, while keeping life as normal as possible for my 8yr old sister Ava. Ava was the one who woke up first to the fire as it started in the laundry room directly below her bedroom.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping us replace essential items, secure a new home, and begin the process of recovery from this scare. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping them regain stability and hope during this incredibly difficult time. Your support will help them cover immediate needs like clothing, and temporary shelter, as well as the bigger steps toward recovery.
