My name is Alexa, and I’m 19 weeks pregnant with a baby boy who is growing strong with a beautiful heartbeat. I’ve been hospitalized with a life-threatening pregnancy complication called HELLP syndrome, and doctors are urging me to deliver early, but at this stage, my baby cannot survive outside the womb.

I have made the choice to fight for my son’s life and stay in the hospital under constant monitoring, even if it means weeks or months away from home. While I am admitted in the ICU, my husband is caring for our children, and we are struggling to cover bills, childcare, and basic needs.
