Dear friends, It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you today to share our family's story and ask for your support. My dear husband, Alexandro Macias, has recently suffered a life-altering hate crime on November 6, 2024, leaving us in a position of great need. Alexandro is the rock of our family, a hardworking and devoted husband and father, and now we find ourselves grappling with overwhelming medical bills and utility expenses that we simply cannot manage alone. We are hopeful that your kindness and generosity can help lift the burden that weighs so heavily upon us. Your support will not only alleviate our financial strain but also provide us with the hope and encouragement we need as we navigate through this challenging chapter in our lives. No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a meaningful difference. Your generosity will enable us to focus on Alexandro's recovery and ensure that he receives the care and comfort he needs during this difficult time.
On November 7, 2024, Alexandro was rushed to Olive Medical Hospital in intensive care with a broken jaw, a fractured nose, and needs eye surgery to save his eye. He is facing three more procedures. This person almost took his life away. Alexandro hasn't been able to see our son for 12 days. I know this is killing him inside.
On November 8, 2024, Alexandro had surgery on his left eye. Doctors confirmed to us that Alexandro wouldn't be able to see with that eye. I continue to pray to the Lord to heal him and a miracle happens.
On November 12, 2024, Alexandro had his second surgery. Alexandro was having his jaw surgery that lasted about 6 hours. During his surgery, the doctors were repositioning his jaw and secured the jaw closing. The doctors inserted a small metal plate, screws, and wires to hold his jaw in place. Alexandro has discomfort and swelling. He's also on a liquid diet until his jaw heals. Alexandro is still waiting for one more eye surgery.
This has been the most horrific nightmare of my life. There are no words to express the emotional and mental pain of almost losing Alexandro and the father of my son. No one should go through this. Only time will tell how fast he will recover. Time is something you never get back - his attacker took that from us.
Your kindness will not go unnoticed and will serve as a source of strength and comfort as we work to rebuild our lives. Your support will directly contribute to covering medical bills, essential medication, and ongoing expenses as Alexandro fights to regain his health. With your help, we can navigate this difficult chapter with resilience and fortitude. We are deeply grateful for your consideration and assistance during this profoundly difficult time. Your generosity will bring light into the darkness we are currently enduring. From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. With warm regards, Veronica Rivas, Alexandro Macias, and our beloved son, Mateo.
