Alexandra Dorozhkina is my best friend and a mother of 3 kids who lost her home with her husband Puyan in the Altadena fire on 01/08/2025 in Los Angeles. Their house and neighborhood burned to the ground, causing them to lose everything they own including their car. They woke up at 3am to emergency ‼️ notifications to evacuate and had to pack 5 people under a flashlight as the lights were off as ambers were flying outside all around. Luckily, they made it out with their lives because that is irreplaceable.

We are trying to give them to a safety. Alexandra, who works at JPL, made LA her home as a first-generation immigrant. Puyan Abbrahim is a graphic designer who is also a first-generation immigrant. LA is the home where they built a family together and gave birth to Nicolai, 14, Katya, 10, and Anna, 6. This was their first home that they just bought in 2018 and have been working so hard to remodel room by room on their own.
