My name is Jose Berrios, and I lost my mom in a tragic event of domestic violence. The person that supposed to love her took her life away. My mother was trying to survive in this country. She finally decided to be free of domestic violence, but she lost her life in that attempt. Like many victims, they died when they choose to leave their aggressor.
My mom left my sisters and me with a hole in our soul. We will miss her every day until we see each other again. My mom was born in El Salvador; she was a beloved mother, a lovely friend, and a courageous woman. All our family is working hard, and we have covered some bills. Unfortunately, every day, other costs arise; that is why we are requesting your collaboration to cover the extra expenses.
