Hi, my name is Alexandra and I am a graduating MFA student in Brooklyn, working on my last year of school, and I just learned my cat, Mischief, has a 2 inch tumor in her abdomen.

Mischief is middle aged, at 9 years old, and I have had her through all of my 20s. She is the sweetest, most snuggliest and funniest lazy ball of love. She has been with me through it all; she lived with me in the countryside, she has survived my house fire, moved from Augusta to Washington-Wilkes Georgia in the middle of nowhere back to Atlanta and now in Brooklyn. I want her to be able to be in my wedding and to stay with me well into my 30s to experience all the big milestones of my early life as she should.

I love her with all of my heart and as a person balancing 6 classes, heading our graduate organization, and still fitting in time to work to pay my bills, I am struggling to get together what I can to try and save her life, if possible. I don't want to lose her because I simply couldn't make the funds if it is something I could otherwise do.

Please, if you are the kind of person who knows what it's like or has sympathy, we could use your help. Even though she is sick, and is struggling to eat, she is still laying beside me now, purring and pushing her face into my hand as she always does because she just wants to share love.

We will use the money to get further diagnostic appointments for better imaging of the tumor and then pay for her treatment, which could be up to 8k.
