First I would like to introduce myself. I'm a mom in a desperate situation. My daughter has always had it rough always being sick. At age 8 she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. That's been rough but she's a fighter. We have kept her UC in remission for a while. Fast forward to 17 years old with a few hospital stays in between of course (colitis). Alexandra is her name and started the summer off terrible where her and some friends were riding an off road vehicle and she got ejected. Her face was tore up broken jaw in 4 places and two surgeries later here we are. She can only drink liquid. Her dad works but bless his heart it's not getting us by with all these ensure drinks, boosts, and nutritional drinks. They are so outrageous. We know she has many surgeries and a very long journey ahead of us. She is so self conscious Im hoping she won't get upset with me for trying this. I can tell you it's extremely hard getting her to all these appointments with no assistance. I can't work right now, Alex has a few appointments a week plus my animals are suffering and I hate that. Anything helps is appreciated and all prayers are appreciated and welcome. ( I got her full permission to post her photos and her story!)
