Help Alexander Secure His Future in the U.S.

My name is Alexander Kunert, and I am reaching out for your support during a critical time in my life. I am a 28-year-old German swimmer who has had the honor of representing my country at multiple World and European Championships. My journey led me to the United States, where I pursued higher education at Queen’s University of Charlotte, graduating with degrees in Business Administration and Physics. Following my graduation, I began my professional career as an Engineering Manager and Product Designer at ClickFold Plastic.

Recently, I have converted to the Catholic faith and am now a new parishioner at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. This new chapter in my spiritual journey has been incredibly meaningful and supportive during these challenging times.

Currently, I am in the midst of an urgent and challenging immigration process. I have the opportunity to apply for a green card for permanent residency in the U.S. based on my achievements in swimming. Unfortunately, my application for a STEM OPT extension, which would have allowed me to continue working while transitioning from a student visa to a green card, was recently denied. This denial has left me in a precarious position where I must expedite the green card application process and cover substantial legal fees immediately.

The denial means I am unable to work until my status change is approved, and I must complete this process before August 8th, 2024, to avoid having to leave the country. The financial burden is significant, and I am reaching out to ask for your help.

Any contribution, no matter the size, would greatly aid in covering the legal fees required to continue my green card process. Your support would not only help me remain in the U.S. but also continue my professional career and contribute to my community.
