My name is Alexander, and I’m reaching to my community for support after a recent electric scooter accident.

On 11/10/25 the front wheel on the scooter I was riding popped, causing me to fall into the street at roughly 15mph and fracture my right shoulder socket (glenoid fracture) which required immediate surgery. As many of you know I've been self-employed as a medicine facilitator for years, which means I do not have any form of health insurance. This unexpected ER visit and shoulder surgery have left me with a significant financial burden that I am going to be paying for entirely out of pocket.

This experience has been incredibly challenging, I’ve had to reschedule multiple client ceremonies, cancel flights, and put my life on hold to focus on recovery. The medical costs have added a heavy weight to an already difficult situation, making it hard to focus on healing and to show up fully for my clients.

The total medical costs, between the initial ER visit, the shoulder surgery, and follow-up sessions for physical therapy is going to be roughly $20,000. As you can see, my goal for the fundraiser is not to cover the entirety of that cost, but rather to hopefully cover about half of it, and pay for the remainder of the medical bills by facilitating ceremonies.

Your support will go towards me paying off these medical expenses, helping ease the stress of this financial burden, and allow me to focus on getting better.
