Help Alexander Compete at Indian Wells

My name is Alexander Ferreira, and I am 12 years old. I am a tennis player who qualified and was selected for the Boys 12 and under National Championships taking place in Indian Wells in March. Because the professional men's and women's 2025 Indian Wells Open (BNP Paribas Open) takes place right before the junior championships, the cost to travel and stay there is prohibitively high for me.

I train in the Elite category of the high-performance group at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY (where the U.S. Open is played) and qualified for this tournament with a much lower budget for training than many players at my level, which speaks to my dedication and work ethic. I skipped the Winter National Championships due to excessive cost.

I have maintained very good grades in an academically demanding school, straight A’s last year, including taking advanced math and becoming fluent in a second language, Spanish.

Others have used GoFundMe to help with costly tennis training and tournaments. It was suggested I also try, and this is my attempt to be able to play in the National Championships at Indian Wells.
