Alexa Scheerer is a kind, beautiful, caring young woman that has always looked out for others before herself. Just a few months before her 30th birthday her world was turned upside-down when she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. 2020 was already a very difficult year for Alexa with the death of her two long time pets (Nala and Boots) and being laid off for 5 months due to Covid. So at a time when she really needed some positive news, her cancer diagnosis was incredibly devastating.

With a long road of chemotherapy ahead, Alexa will be out of work for quite some time. Her first 8 hour chemo session was on 04/22/2021 and that started 6 months of chemo sessions which will then continue for 2 years of targeted therapy. She goes in for bloodwork on a weekly basis and chemotherapy every 3 weeks. Alexa has always quick to help those around her, but now she's asking for your help to relieve some of the extreme financial burden that comes along with cancer treatment.
