Alexa was recently selected to compete in Italy, July 6-13th, with the All-American Soccer Team. She earned this honor through a highly competitive process led by college coaches at ID camps across the country. Out of thousands of athletes ages 15–18, only 3–5% are chosen to represent the All-American team internationally, and Alexa is excited to say that she was one of them!
Soccer has been a passion of Alexa's since she was young. She started playing at the age of 5 years old and has been playing ever since! In addition to playing on both travel and school teams, Alexa has also been a part of the Loyal Soccer Program as a coach for youth soccer, a mentor for younger players within her travel organization, and a volunteer for Lyndonville Summer Recreation for the past 3 years. Sports—especially soccer—have been a positive influence in Alexa's life because they have taught her important lessons beyond the game. Soccer helped her develop discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic. It showed her how to handle challenges, keep improving, and work toward goals even when things don’t go as planned. Being part of a team also taught her communication, responsibility, and how to support others. It's important to Alexa to share these experiences with younger players because they're still building confidence and character. Hearing how soccer can help them grow reminds them that effort matters, mistakes are part of learning, and the lessons they gain now will benefit them both on and off the field.
With all of that said, this trip would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Alexa, but the cost is great, and we are asking if you would please consider donating or sponsoring us to help make this dream into a reality. As Alexa is a minor, she needs an adult to travel with her, so the funds will help cover travel expenses for both of us. It would mean everything to Alexa to compete at an international level, continue her development as a student-athlete pursuing to play at the collegiate level, and proudly represent Lyndonville.
