Help Alex with mounting medical expenses

I'm looking to raise funds for my daughter's boyfriend of 10 years, Alex. He is truly like a son to James and I, and a brother to Brendan. Alex is a wonderful young man, whom we are happy to call family.

 

This July 4th Alex suffered his first seizure, with no history of ever having one. He was seizure free until this Tuesday, at which time he endured 3 seizures within three hours. He has since developed complications, and has been in the ICU for the past 48 hours.

 

He has internal bleeding, due to rupturing of the spleen, and has since received two blood transfusions and may need to undergo surgery to repair. There are also some further undetermined complications that could prolong his stay in the ICU.

 

His anti seizure medication is expensive, and not covered by Obamacare (which he had had). He has been making payments for his first stay that landed him in the hospital for two nights back in July. Unfortunately, he is in between health insurance and has no coverage at this time, so all medical expenses will be out of pocket.

 

We are waiting on updates on condition, and praying that he makes a full recovery.
