In January 2025, my best friend Alex had her first surgery for a tumor we didn’t know was cancer yet. It had simply been causing pain and other health issues. That doctor said he couldn’t continue, and it had grown since the last scan, so she needed to see a specialist.

In February, she ended up having a large surgery, removing an ovary and fallopian tube along with the tumor, discovering it was cancer. She is now going to be starting chemo at the beginning of April and cannot work at this time. I’m hoping to start this to help relieve some of her financial burden as most of this has been out of pocket, and she will now be having to travel to receive chemo.
