Help Alex Stockpile Meds and Secure Passport

My son, Alex, is trans. He's a 20 year old college student living in Birmingham. Due to recent events, we're making plans to safeguard his care come January.
We have a list of things we'd like to do, but some are more urgent than others.
1) We're stockpiling meds for Alex. This is the most urgent need. He's been off of testosterone before, and the mental and emotional toll it takes on him is significant. He's 20 now, so he currently has access (gender-affirming medical care is banned for minors in Alabama), but we don't feel great about the likelihood of trans medical care for adults remaining legal, so...stockpile. His doctor is willing, but insurance will not cover extra meds, so this will be on us.
2) He does not have a passport, and we want to make that happen ASAP. Just in case.
3) We also want to move forward with a legal name change for Alex. He doesn't experience a great deal of dysphoria with his deadname being on documents, so this is lower priority, but he'd still like it done. This is a process that CAN be done on your own, but our local probate court is not very trans-friendly. We've been advised to use a lawyer to file the petition, because otherwise it will be denied. There are some local attorneys that do these pro bono, but we're saving up in case we can't get a slot sometime over the next two months.
If anyone would like to kick in, it would be much appreciated. We don't know what will happen, but knowing that we have him squared away in case things go south would mean a lot of peace of mind.
