There are no words to prepare a mother for that phone call.
On March 26, 2026, our lives changed forever when my son, Alex, was struck by another driver while riding his motorcycle home from work. In an instant, everything we knew stopped. The fear, the uncertainty, and the helplessness that followed are something no parent should ever have to experience.
Alex was airlifted to Baltimore Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries. While we want to respect his privacy regarding the full extent of his medical journey, I can share that the injuries he suffered were severe and devastating. Through it all, he has shown incredible strength, determination, and resilience.
By the grace of God, the support of family and friends, and the incredible care he has received, Alex’s recovery so far has been nothing short of a miracle. But despite how far he has already come, we still have a very long road ahead.
Anyone who knows Alex knows the kind of man he is — hardworking, devoted to his family, and always showing up for the people he loves. One of his greatest joys is coaching his children’s lacrosse team, being active with his family, and simply living life to the fullest. Right now, so much of that has been taken from him during this recovery process.
The road ahead will continue to bring ongoing medical treatment, rehabilitation, and mobility challenges as Alex works toward rebuilding his independence and returning to the life he loves. During this time, he is unable to work and unable to return to many of the everyday activities that mean so much to him.
We are asking for help to ease some of the financial burden so Alex can focus fully on healing. Donations will go toward continued medical treatment, rehabilitation, mobility needs, and supporting him and his family through the difficult months ahead.
Most of all, we ask for your prayers, love, and support. Every donation, share, and kind word means more than we can ever express.
Thank you for standing beside Alex and our family during the hardest chapter of our lives.
