Help Alex Lee - Nooksack River Flood in Sumas, WA
Donation protected
Alex could use your help! His home, garage, and vehicles were damaged during the devastating flooding event that occurred in Sumas, WA on Monday November 15th.
Alex was excited when he purchased his first home two years ago. When the news came that flooding was incoming, he stayed home to prepare. As the water kept rising and the power went out, he had no choice but to be evacuated. He, and his dog Sadie, got a ride out of the flooded town in the bucket of a front loader. He came back after the water had receded to find a thick coating of mud over everything in his home.
The kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances had to be torn out and thrown away. He lost his furniture and personal belongings. His flooring buckled and two feet of drywall had to be cut from every room as well. During this process, he lost a week’s worth of wages as he cleaned up his home. The good news is that he had kind people to help and the drying out process has begun.
While Alex waits to see what insurance may cover, he and his dog Sadie are living in his flood ravaged home. He could use assistance for groceries, clothes, and replacement furniture while he tries to get his life back to normal.
It’s extremely hard for Alex to ask for help. In fact, he won’t. The last two years have brought some hardships for Alex so we have created this gofundme to offer a hand while he is trying to get back on his feet. Please donate if you can.
