Hi, my name is Karen, and I’m fundraising for my sister Veronica and her son while her fiancé, Alex Carrasquillo, is in critical condition fighting for his life in the Neuro ICU after a devastating motorcycle accident on June 29th, 2025. This should be a time of love, excitement, and happiness as they were looking forward to finally getting married in August after 18 years together. Now, this time has become one of the most hardest, most painful, and most fearful times of their lives.

On June 29th, 2025, around 10:30 pm, Alex was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him with serious head trauma, a broken right arm, a severe left foot injury, collapsed lungs, several burn injuries and much more. He was rushed via LifeStar to the ICU, where he remains in critical condition. Alex remains under constant care and monitoring, and he has a long road ahead of him, including surgeries, rehabilitation, and possibly months of recovery. Alex is fighting for his life while my sister Veronica is trying her best to stay strong while caring for their 4-year-old son and standing by Alex's bedside every day while trying to make difficult medical decisions and figuring out finances. Our families are all experiencing terrifying uncertainty with Alex's condition and are praying for the best.

Our families are doing everything we can to help support Alex, my sister, and nephew, but the financial strain is massive. The emotional and financial toll is overwhelming and our families simply cannot do this alone. This fundraiser is set up to support my sister Veronica and her son, with everyday expenses such as:
