On Thursday August 27, my nephew, Alex Flack, Tricia's son, was in a bad accident. Alex broke his back, suffering a fracture to his L1 vertebrae as well as injured back ligaments. The vertebrae is fragmented, which requires surgery.  Alex's surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st. With a successful outcome, he is facing a minimum 2 month recovery period, if not longer. Thankfully, Alex does have medical insurance. Alex has been making some truly wonderful big life changes recently. He has a two year old son, Alex Jr.  Alex is working on getting full custody of Alex Jr. Alex is also excited to have another baby on the way with his beautiful girlfriend, Meghan Lind. Alex and Meghan just bought a house in Tinley Park and are in the closing process. They have been looking forward to moving in and beginning a new chapter in life, as parent and homeowners. The recovery time Alex is facing means lost wages. He will be facing medical expenses, not covered by insurance, as well as everyday living expenses needed to support his family, while he recovers. Any funds raised will go toward helping Alex and his family with these expenses. I want Alex to have one less thing to worry about while he recovers and appreciate any help as well as just keeping Alex in your thoughts and prayers.
