Help Alexis Fight Liver Cancer

Alexis Norris is a single mom and only parent to her beautiful six-year-old daughter, Mila. They are both full of life and enjoy spending time together cooking dinner, going to the park, going on playdates, swimming, and going to the beach in the summer.

This all changed when Alexis thought she pulled a muscle, after a few days and the pain got worse, she went to urgent care. After an examination, they promptly sent her to the ER concerned it was her gallbladder. The ER doctors found that Alexis’s liver was enlarged and ran more tests. Alexis’s worst nightmare came true, she had liver cancer and they determined that it had already spread to her bile duct and her blood vessel.

The doctors quickly developed an aggressive plan for her treatment which includes radiation and chemotherapy. The radiation therapy requires her to isolate and makes it unsafe for her to be around her daughter and anyone else. This is heartbreaking for her and her daughter and has taken a toll on both of them. The treatments are aggressive and will be challenging for her; because of this, she will not be able to work.

This is putting a huge financial strain on her. Alexis could have never imagined herself in a place where she couldn’t take care of her child financially, physically, and emotionally.

She is also trying to get appointments to see doctors that have more experience treating her cancer. But because they are out of network, she will have to pay out of pocket to see them. Alexis is ready to take on the toughest battle of her life, not just for her, but for her daughter too.

Anyone that knows Alexis knows that she will do anything for the people she loves. She has a heart of gold and would be the first person there to help a friend or loved one in need.
