Hello all,
I'm Cris DeBlanc. My husband, Alex DeBlanc, was employed as a Network Engineer for an oilfield company here in Houston. In the month of December 2024, we received two devastating blows. The first on December 3rd, Alex was let go from his job after 12 years, with little more than his last paycheck. Two weeks later the second blow would hit. On December 20th, Alex's 52nd birthday, he suffered a stroke.
The stroke has left him with some impaired mobility along with impacting his speech and cognitive ability. Earlier this week we returned to the hospital with similar symptoms to what he experienced with the first stroke. He is back at home now but has a long recovery process ahead of him.
Unfortunately, our health insurance is no longer in effect due to his release from his job. We are in the process of applying for any available benefits but those will take some time to be activated.
His medical needs and our living expenses are quickly becoming overwhelming. If you know Alex, he is a very proud man, but we all reach a point in our lives where we need to accept help. This is very difficult for us to ask, but any support you could provide in assisting us with medical and living expenses during this time would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cris
