UPDATE!!!
Alex is home. He has a long road to recovery and so happy he is home with us now. He will continue to get meds through his IV and continue to get dialysis until the doctors says his kidneys are fine.
As many of you know, Alex started feeling sick last Friday. He began vomiting and couldn’t keep anything down. By Sunday morning, we decided to take him to the ER. We initially thought it was just a stomach flu, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
The doctors put him on several antibiotics, and after running tests, they discovered that the infection in his leg had returned. An MRI showed the infection was severe, and after speaking with the doctor, it was decided that his leg would need to be amputated below the knee.
Alex had just started a new job when all of this happened, and he doesn’t have health insurance yet. With me being the only one working right now, we are accepting any donations to help us cover medical bills and living expenses during this difficult time. Thank you all for your support.
If you have any questions about what's going on, please message me.
Thank you for your support.
