Hello, my name is Alex Perez Vergara, and I am an international student from Ecuador currently living in Maryland, USA. I am reaching out to ask for your support as I take the next step in my professional and educational journey. I came to the United States on an F-1 student visa, and I recently completed an Associate Degree in Public Health at Anne Arundel Community College. I am now preparing to continue my studies at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) by enrolling in the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program.

Becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in the U.S. is my dream and also the legal way for me to remain in the country. In order to stay in lawful F-1 status, I must present proof of financial support of at least $25,000 USD to receive a new I-20 form and begin my nursing program.

My previous education as a medical doctor in Ecuador has given me a strong foundation in patient care, surgery, and public health. Now, I hope to use that knowledge as a nurse in the U.S. healthcare system, serving patients and contributing to the community that welcomed me.

This Monday, I will meet with the international student advisor at BCCC to evaluate how many of my past credits can transfer into the ADN program and how soon I can begin classes. I am committed to working hard, studying full-time, and doing everything I can to stay compliant with immigration rules.
