In December 2018, Raymond Hernandez, a 50-year-old father of four, and husband to my sweet friend and co-worker Alexandra, was given news that turned his and her world upside down. Raymond was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic gastro-esophageal cancer. Most recently, the cancer has spread and he developed pneumonia and hasn’t been able to leave the hospital.

Alexandra is self-employed during the day and can’t afford to miss work to be by Raymond’s side. With the heartbreaking struggle that she’s already facing, Alex shouldn’t have to worry about how she’s going to cover basic living expenses, groceries for her and the kids, co-pays, uninsured medical expenses, etc. Your contributions will cover just that, allowing her to spend these crucial moments with her husband at the hospital and care for their children.
